11:35 At Ease
An open race in which the vote goes to the well-bred AT EASE, who got off the mark at the second attempt when beating a 2/9 shot at Chelmsford and has plenty of scope for further progress on her handicap debut.
Second choice is the resurgent I’m Available, who caught the eye with her strong finish over 7 furlongs at Wolverhampton last time and remains well treated on her old form. Stay Classy is also respected on her step back up in trip, while the other one on the shortlist is Lalania who could kick on again back in a handicap after a break.
12:05 Rishworthian
This can go to RISHWORTHIAN, who is the only winner in the line-up and who shaped as though this step back up to 1m could suit when scoring with authority in a Redcar claimer last time. The other key form contenders have some questions to answer and the main threat could come from the unexposed Clever Trucker, who was not beaten all that far in a novice here last month and looks a possible improver on this drop in class.
12:35 Bombastic
Magicinthemaking and Prince Rock have form claims, but are drawn out wide which tempers enthusiasm. Holdenhurst, Pour La Victoire and Azets all have something to recommend them, but BOMBASTIC (NAP) looks the one to beat. He made a very encouraging stable debut over an inadequate 6 furlongs eight days ago and he now drops from Class 4 to Class 6 with a jockey who has won on him before. Handicap debutante Kyllishi is an unknown quantity and needs a market check.
13:10 Documenting
Spanish City briefly looked like he’d get his big day when surging to the front in the Ayr Gold Cup only to be picked off close home. He’s a big player at this level, but DOCUMENTING has taken his form to another level this season and he can win this race for the second season in succession.

13:45 Caribbean Sunset
Touchwood sets the standard after his improved effort over 6 furlongs at Kempton last month and he’s open to further progress. He did look like he might want a bit further though and of those to have run perhaps Elektronic, who was also fourth at Kempton on his debut, might be the pick. There is plenty to recommend CARIBBEAN SUNSET on pedigree though, and he’s been found a realistic opportunity on his debut.
14:20 Newyorkstateofmind
Lihou should fare better back in a Class 4 and is respected, while Son And Sannie isn’t fully exposed and should make another bold bid. The evidence is beginning to point to NEWYORKSTATEOFMIND being a better horse on all-weather than turf though, and he may be able to follow up this month’s 6 furlongs win here.
14:55 Marion’s Boy
The unexposed three-year-old fillies Sheila and True Scarlet have plenty to recommend them at this level and the former in particular remains capable of better. So too does MARION’S BOY though, and he can shed his maiden tag after a fine effort over course and distance last month.
15:30 Union Spirit
The most striking contender is Peter Chapple-Hyam’s three-year-old UNION SPIRIT, who has won over C&D and resumed his progress with a front-running second behind a major improver at Doncaster last month. The main dangers could be Lady Pendragon, who looks interesting on her drop back in trip, and Itsallaboutluck, who has possibilities if new headgear works on his step back up to 1m 2f.
