Horse Racing Tips: A 15/2 play leads the way at Newcastle tonight

With Respect will be dangerous if handling this new surface but with that not entirely guaranteed preference is for PERFECT SWISS, who deserves a break.

17:15 Albert Camus

This has the look of a decent nursery for Class 5 level. Night Of Romance is well handicapped on her narrow defeat here last time, but that was back in July, so you’d like to see some confidence behind her. As things stand, preference is for ALBERT CAMUS, who has caught the eye in two good-looking races and has the potential to be a lot better than this mark. Military Man is also shortlisted.

17:45 Kratos

In order of preference KRATOS, Quest For Fun and Tiny Danser are the most likely candidates after positive debut efforts at this track. Roger Varian had an impressive maiden winner here yesterday who had finished runner-up first time out.

18:15 Gunmetal (NAP)

Dandys Gold could bounce back to form at this venue, while Outrage and recent C&D scorer Fantasy Keeper also enter calculations. The pair to make most appeal are the class-droppers Call Me Ginger and GUNMETAL (nap), though, with the latter preferred after catching the eye here last month.

18:45 Fauvette

Roundel and Show Me A Sunset have the form to play a leading role and the latter in particular could do better. So too could FAUVETTE, though, and she’s marginally preferred in a novice race that is lacking depth.

Ballyare won well in first-time cheekpieces on his latest start but a 7lb rise for that Class 6 success does ask more of him here. Another Angel and Tathmeen can go well for Anthony Britain, while Nibras Again also enters calculations, but this should be well run and the cards may well fall more kindly for BIG LACHIE tonight. He can be the architect of his own demise sometimes but he was very unfortunate behind Nibras Again here last time and is more than capable of winning off this mark with some luck in running.

19:45 Medicine Jack

This looks trappy with the only last-time winner returning from a four-month break. MEDICINE JACK isn’t one for the faint-hearted but his last two runs have been encouraging enough in the context of this race to earn him the tentative vote. Klopp and Avenue Of Stars may give him most to think about.

20:15 Arcavallo

If he keeps knocking hard enough, then the door will surely open again for ARCAVALLO. He’s running well and is more appealing than many. Qaaraat shouldn’t be far away in his current run of form, along with Rockley Point.
