16:30 Dundalk – Floral Purl

FLORAL PURL has taken a bit of time and patience to finally start showing some ability and it was clearly on show when finishing fourth last time at Tipperary. She was not given an overly hard time once the winner was out of reach and she kept on in pleasing fashion, suggesting that this mile trip will be within her compass. Admittedly she is drawn a little bit wide, but at least over this distance she will have some time in the back stretch to get into a striking position.

17:30 Dundalk – Ummalnar

The English raider UMMALNAR is going across not only to pick up some all-important black type, but is also gunning for the Euros. She has a completely different profile to all of the runners in the line-up because she is only having her third start of the 2020 campaign.

She is still very much is a work in progress and she can be a little bit keen, but that forward-going style will suit this particular track. She is bang there on official figures and did well to hold on for third at Lingfield last time when the winner, Indie Angel, seemed to come from out of the clouds.

18:45 Wolverhampton – Amniarix

AMNIARIX brings in a beautiful American pedigree and showed her liking for an artificial surface when putting up a bold show last time at Kempton. She stayed on nicely over 6 furlongs, suggesting that this long sprint test was going to be ideal.

Add to that the winning horse was bringing in an official rating of 80 and she looks to have been handed a very decent opening handicap mark of just 69. The Ed Walker yard couldn’t be any hotter at present and our jockey, Tom Marquand, is in top form too.

19:30 Dundalk – King Lenox

KING LENOX didn’t show a massive amount when trained over in England, but has taken a massive jolt of improvement on the last couple of occasions he has been on the track in Ireland. Take a look back at his last run at Dundalk, it really was a monster performance considering he was forced wide and made up a massive amount of ground from near the back up to the front around the top turn.

To very nearly hold on was a remarkable performance and surprisingly the handicapper has left him on an unchanged rating of just 60. He can exploit his kindness in this contest.

19:45 Wolverhampton – Arabian King

ARABIAN KING has been a massive success story for James Ferguson since picking him up for just 12,000 guineas at the Horses In Training sale. On five racecourse appearances he’s managed to win on three occasions and was coming back off a lengthy break when finishing in fourth position last time at Kempton.

Given his pedigree, related to a Group One winner in Arabian queen, hopefully we are still just scratching the surface as to his full potential. It’s going to get tougher from here stepping up in grade, but he looks nowhere near his ceiling rating at present.

20:15 Wolverhampton – Daheer

Daheer starts out for the new stable being picked up for 21,000 guineas, also from the Horses In Training Sale. He was a smart winner over course and distance last time, and it has to be upgraded as he was made to work hard in the early stages from a wide stall position.

He’s handed a much more favourable inside position tonight and looks as if he can climb significantly up the ladder from where he is positioned at the moment on just 78. He’s in the right hands, coming from the Mark Loughnane yard, to have a very productive winter.

17:30 Dundalk – Ummalnar
18:45 Wolverhampton – Amniarix
