11:55 Opposites Attract

This has the makings of a very informative beginners’ chase, with narrow preference for OPPOSITES ATTRACT. He went into the notebook as a promising novice after his cracking third at Punchestown last month.

Assemble has the makings of a smart chaser and needs respecting, while Floueur and Front View are bound to make their mark in this sphere too. Diol Ker needs to bounce back from his Galway mishap, but could be the class act of the race if he does.

12:25 Et Dite

Plenty in with chances, but ET DITE just about gets the vote in the hope she can take a big step forward for the switch to chasing. Heaven Help Us is the class angle of the race, but she’s been kept busy lately and hasn’t exactly progressed at might have been hoped.

Calvary Master and Farmix should be able to win their fair share of races over fences but they have the potential to improve for the experience. Meanwhile, Ujumpthelastuwin is turning out quickly after a promising debut over fences.

12:55 Clonguile Way

The form of CLONGUILE WAY‘s Punchestown win has worked out with the runner-up winning from a higher mark subsequently and the seven-year-old seems to be improving, impressive again over hurdles last time. Mick Charlie is another in good form and he can continue his progress over fences, while any support for the likes of James Boru and Howaya Aoife is worth noting on their handicap debuts.

13:30 Farouk D’Alene

This looks a good opportunity for FAROUK D’ALENE to make it 4-4 under rules, having done nothing wrong in his career thus far. Sneaky Getaway would be a danger if the ground dried out, with conditions described as heavy, soft-to-heavy in places at declaration time.

14:05 Darling Daughter

The Getaway Star looked like she would relish this longer trip when staying on in eye-catching fashion at Down Royal last month, but preference is for DARLING DAUGHTER. The Gigginstown mare looked like a nice prospect when winning a Grade 2 bumper back in February and it’s possible she could be in a different league to these rivals.

14:40 All Those Years

This isn’t the most competitive maiden, but there’s a couple of nice prospects in here. Fiston Des Issards was impressive when winning his point but given how he won that day, this trip is likely to be a fair way short of his best. ALL THOSE YEARS is the preferred option having shown ability over hurdles last term and a chance is taken that he’s fit enough to do himself justice on his return from 402 days off.

15:15 Run For Oscar

A fairly clear standard is set by RUN FOR OSCAR (NAP) who may well have won at Galway last time if he hadn’t have made a mess of the last. Both his runs over hurdles suggest he’s capable of landing a race of this nature. Make Good should be in the mix with a bit of progress and Ennemi Public is another to consider if he takes up this engagement.

15:45 The Great White

Two surprise last-time-out winners, Sadies Trix and Fairytale Empress, have to be respected here. It might be worth siding with THE GREAT WHITE, for all that the trip may prove a shade on the sharp side for this local runner.
