4.30pm – Eloquent Arthur

Newmarket runner-up ELOQUENT ARTHUR has solid claims and is taken to go one better. Magical Mile is second choice ahead of Addosh and Lunar Shadow. Dashing Dick has a major chance at the weights but he’s possibly not crying out for this new trip.

5.00pm – Echo Beach

To The Bar looks pick of the newcomers but both Trumble and ECHO BEACH have shown enough to think a similar event could fall their way. Trumble has recorded the slightly higher RPR but the selection should benefit from the return to 7f and can get off the mark at the fifth attempt.

5.30pm – Libby Ami

Spirit Of Rowdown, Durabella and All In The Game can be forgiven their latest efforts on heavy ground and may do better, while Cuban Cigar and Ambarella also have something to recommend them. LIBBY AMI looked nicely ahead of her mark when winning at Newcastle last week though and she may be able to defy her penalty.

6.00pm – Baby Sham

This looks much the more interesting of the two divisions with several runners of interest. Jamie Osborne’s pair Velocity and Eyes both have something to recommend them, while Classy Dame is down in grade and Livia The Empress, Tinchoo and Free Dancer also come into the reckoning. BABY SHAM ran well in a stronger race at Newmarket last time though and she might be the answer despite her wide stall.

6.30pm – Absolute Scenes

The Hugo Palmer-trained ABSOLUTE SCENES is taken to build on her latest effort and improve past She’s A Lion, who sets the form standard as things stand. Hagia Sophia also enters the reckoning, while the two newcomers need to be monitored for market support.

7.00pm – Power Of States

The return to this venue worked a treat for POWER OF STATES last time and he looks open to further progress on this surface. Second choice is last year’s runner-up Torochica, ahead of the unexposed Aim For The Stars.

7.30pm – Aleatoric

Hammy End and Bad Attitude both come here in good form and have to be on the shortlist but ALEATORIC might be the answer. A C&D winner in February, he’s reunited with Hector Crouch for the first time since and his penultimate third here confirmed he retained all his ability.

8.00pm – Alsvinder (NAP)

Dazzling Des is knocking at the door but slow starts can be an issue and he couldn’t quite peg back a prominently ridden rival over C&D last week. A similar situation could unfold here, with ALSVINDER (nap) making plenty of appeal off this mark. He’s on a losing run but his last two runs have been much more like it and his yard is in peak form at present. He could be hard to catch. Pop Dancer may be best of the rest.
