How do I place a bet?

Firstly, select the ‘Football’ category from the menu on the left-hand side of the page.

Then select ‘Euro 2020’ along the tab bar.

When you see the bet you would like to place, click on the odds/price button and your betslip will pop up on the right-hand side of the screen (bottom of your screen on mobile).

Enter the total amount you would like to place on this selection and click on ‘Place bets’.

If you tick the ‘Each Way’ box, you are placing a bet on the selection to place within the outlined places.

Example: Placing a bet on Harry Kane to be the UEFA 2020 Top Goalscorer. If you click ‘Each Way’ you are placing a bet on him to come in the top 5 goalscorers as per the agreed rules.

What is the 90-minute Rule?

Football markets are settled based on the score at the end of full-time (90 minutes + injury time). Extra time or penalty shootouts do not count.

Example: You have placed a bet prior to kick off or during normal time on England to win. The game ends 0-0 and goes to Extra Time. England win 1-0 after extra time. Your bet would be a loser as it is settled off the result at full-time in normal time.

We also have a To Qualify market which includes extra time and penalties to give you extra insurance for knockout games like the above example.

My Extra Time Correct Score bet is saying it’s a loss, even though I guessed the correct score?

Extra Time Correct Score markets start a 0-0. Only goals scored during Extra Time count.

Example: A game is 1-1 after full time and goes to Extra time. 1 goal is scored in Extra Time and the end score is 2-1. The Extra Time Correct Score market will be settled as 1-0 and NOT 2-1.

What is a Bet Builder?

A Bet Builder is a combination of two or more selections from the same game in the one bet. Click on the game you would like to place a bet on and click on ‘Bet Builder’ along the tab to start creating your Bet Builder.

The game I placed my Bet Builder on has been postponed. What happens to my Bet Builder?

If a match is postponed or rescheduled (due to a COVID reason for example) in line with official UEFA rules, all bets will stand. If a team is awarded a win without playing the game, your bet will be voided.

A selection in my Bet Builder has let me down, is my Bet Builder a loser?

No. If just one leg has let you down, Paddy Power will refund you with a free bet.

The maximum free bet is £/€10 and it applies to pre-match accumulators with 4+ legs only.

Please allow up to 2 hours for your free bet to be credited to your account.

I placed a bet on a player to have 3 or more Shots on Target, which he did have. Why is my bet settled as a loss?

We settle our Shots on Target markets in line with Opta Stats. See what Opta consider is and isn’t a Shot on Target and more of Opta’s Event Definitions here: https://www.statsperform.com/opta-event-definitions/

I placed a bet on a game that was postponed before kick-off. What happens my bet?

If a match is postponed or rescheduled (due to a COVID reason for example) in line with official UEFA rules, all bets will stand. If a team is awarded a win without playing the game, your bet will be voided.

What if there are two or more players with the same number of goals for Top Goalscorer?

If two or more players finish tied, your bet will be split by the number of tied players, as per Dead Heat rules.

What does this mean?

If you have placed a bet on Harry Kane to be the Top Goalscorer and Cristiano Ronaldo scores the same number of goals, there is a tie for first place.

Customer A backs Harry Kane for £10 at 5/1 to be Top Goalscorer Customer B backs Cristiano Ronaldo for £20 at 12/1 to be Top Goalscorer

Customer A – (£10 / 2 = £5) * 5/1 = £30 return
Customer B – (£20 / 2 = £10) * 12/1 = £130 return

Your stake is divided by the number of players in the dead heat. If there are three players with the same number of goals, your stake would be divided by 3.

I placed a bet on the ‘Group with the Most Goals’ market and there are two groups with the same number of goals?

If two or more groups finish tied, your bet will be split by the number of tied groups, as per Dead Heat rules

What does this mean?

If you have placed a bet on Group F to have the most goals and Group A scores the same number of goals, there is a tie for first place.

Customer A backs Group F for £10 at 3/1 to have the most goals Customer B backs Group D for £10 at 5/1 to have the most goals

Customer A – (£10 / 2 = £5) * 3/1 = £20 return
Customer B – (£10 / 2 = £5) * 5/1 = £30 return

Your stake is divided by the number of groups in the dead heat. If there are three groups with the same number of goals, your stake would be divided by 3.

How are bets on Card Index Markets settled?

Bets on ‘card index’ are settled as follows: Yellow Card = 10 & Red Card = 25. If a player receives 2 yellow cards and is consequently shown a red card, he receives a total of 35 booking points.

Extra-time and cards shown after the final whistle do not count towards the total.

Only cards shown to players currently on the pitch will count. Cards shown to managers or substitutes do not count towards the total.

How are bets on Total Cards Market settled?

Bets placed on ‘Over/Under Total Cards’ markets are settled based on the number of cards awarded in the game. The maximum number of cards that can be awarded to one player is two.

Yellow Card = 1
Red Card = 1
Yellow Card + Yellow Card (Sending Off) = 2 Cards

Only cards shown to players currently on the pitch will count. Cards shown to managers or substitutes do not count towards the total.

How are Assist markets settled?

Bets placed on the number of player assists will be settled in line with Opta stats.

Goal assist means the final touch (pass, pass-cum-shot or any other touch) leading to the recipient of the ball scoring a goal.

Own goals, directly taken free kicks, direct corner goals and penalties do not get an assist awarded.

What is an ACCA?

The Accumulator or ACCA is a multiple bet where you have two or more selections, and you need them all to win to get a return.

What is a Scorecast bet and how do I place it?

A scorecast is predicting the first goalscorer and the correct score. The first goalscorer part of the bet is governed by the same rules as first goalscorer single bets – own goals do not count and if your player either comes on before the first goal is scored or goes off without scoring, the entire bet is deemed as a loser.

Example: Harry Kane to score first and England to win 2-1.
