The biggest prize in greyhound racing is up for grabs when six dogs battle it out in the English Greyhound Derby final at Towcester Racecourse this weekend.
Irish trainer Graham Holland’s bid to win the contest for a third year in a row came to an end at the semi-final stage when last season’s winner, Gaytime Nemo, failed to reach the showpiece.
King Memphis has been the standout candidate since the first round but Elizabeth McNair’s star dog suffered a rare defeat at Towcester – his first of the competition – in the last round to set up an exciting finale.
