Greyhound Racing Tips: We dig these dogs at Palm Beach this evening

Here’s who we fancy to fly out of the traps in Florida.

18:16 Trap 6 – Winnie Has Charm

This is the second race on the night’s card and we’ve got some Grade B action to look forward to. Trap 2 Winnie Has Charm sums up the word ‘consistent’, winning or making the frame 22 of her 35 starts. It’s a bit of a surprise she hasn't won in this grade since dropped four races ago, for some reason she has just missed the break in her last couple of outings – but, she’s still running well. The dog was very unlucky in her latest outing too. There’s not much to contend with early here, so she has a great chance of leading into the opening bend and that's all that's required for this lady to make a return to Grade A. She certainly has an excellent chance here.

18:32 Trap 4 – Monomoy Girl

The selection here was fantastic in winning two starts ago, posting a brilliant time in the process. She’s no spring chicken and has obviously had her problems with injuries. However, she will look for the rails early and if the dog gets across, she will take some stopping in a race of this standard. A strong running performer has form over six bends, so she can mix it both ways. Let’s hope we get a bit of luck in running for Monomoy Girl to show her class.

18:48 (NAP) Trap 2 – Boise

I’m not a huge fan of sprints, but it would be wrong of me not to highlight Trap 2 Boise and it is an open class race. What more can be said about a greyhound with 19 wins to his name. He takes the paint off the fence and has been crying out for an inside draw, he gets it here thankfully. He has been heavily supported in recent races with nightmare draws and followers may have him in the dog house. But, let’s hope there is a few left in the tank for this race and he can return to the winner’s enclosure. Don’t close your eyes because you may miss it.

19:04 – Trap 4 – Bargain Hunter

Grade D action now and Trap 4 Bargain Hunter made quite the impression last time out when bolting up by nine lengths. Obviously, she’s been pushed up in grade and the grader was certainly impressed with that performance. This youngster is open to huge improvement and while experience is always a concern, it won’t count if she comes away like she did in her latest performance. It could be a case of box to wire again and two wins on the bounce for the well named Bargain Hunter.

20:24 – Trap 8 – Superior Roza

We are onto the feature race on the card and it really is top class action. Something will have to give in this one at the opening bend, as there is plenty of early pace. The make up of this race could work out perfect for Superior Roza. With 10 wins to her name, she is really experienced and is very good at avoiding trouble – that will be required here. She lacks a bit of early pace, so she can avoid the hassle at the opening bend and pick up the pieces late on. She just doesn't know how to run a bad race and a run for the money is assured.
