6.48pm – Trap 3: Superior Mandy @ 6/1

An early Grade A on the card but in all honesty only in terms of name as it lacks real quality. For that reason I’ve gone for Trap 3 Superior Mandy who has five wins to her name in Grade A and recently has been mixing in much better Grade A’s.

This is a drop class and she can avail of this and a perfect draw to leave her rivals in her wake and assert down the back straight and hopefully return to the winners’ enclosure.

7.04pm – Trap 1: Bgr Redwhitenblu @ 6/4

The grader is taking a big chance dropping our selection to Grade C. Very impressive back in March when winning in Grade B and as a result was competitive in a few Grade A contests, and has dropped down to Grade C here.

In effect has dropped three grades in a matter of races. Slow starter so make a cup of tea at the start, and then expect to see him finish like a train. NB on the card no doubt.

7.20pm – Trap 1: Fred Macmurray (NAP) @ 6/4

Management was left red-faced when this dog last seen in Grade B won by six lengths and was backed like there was no tomorrow As a consequence was left in Grade A for nine consecutive races, and he hasn’t been too busy in recent starts.

However, every dog has his day and he is back in Grade B here and it could be over at the first bend. A return to form is on the cards and gets the NAP selection.

7.36pm – Trap 2: JD Sophisticate @ 17/10

A credit to connections and never runs a bad race. Finished second in four of his last five starts and is due some luck. Remains in Grade A but his rivals are either climbing the grades or are due to be dropped in class and there is no question the grade of this race is a break for Trap 2 JD Sophisticate.

An ideal draw and baring falling asleep in the traps will have the race his own way. No excuses will be the cry from connections.

7.52pm – Trap 4: XB Tweak @ 6/1

Very unlucky latest when second in the Grade. Went down fighting in that race and posted a good time in defeat. Trap draw is a slight concern as she will look for the rails from trap rise but I think she might have enough early and room to get across.

If she does will give it her all as she always does and I wouldn’t be surprised if Trap 4 Xb Tweak gets to the winning line first.
