Greyhound Racing: Tuesday’s top tips at Naples Fort Myers

Here's 5 to keep the dream alive.

18:16 Ronaldo @ 8/1

Consistent in the grade, the selection is a real middle to wide running performer so trap draws have gone against him in recent races. Despite this, he has finished second in two of his last four starts and was just denied on both occasions.

This really is a poor Grade B contest so it may feel like a drop in class for Ronaldo.

19:04 Flying Frogger @ 5/2

Flying Frogger came in for big support on penultimate start in this Grade and while he let his followers down, he lost nothing in defeat running a cracking race.

Rarely runs a bad race and is ultra-consistent in terms of estimate times. He has all round pace and looking at this contest with its lack in quality I would not be surprised if he gets an overdue win.

19:20 Bgr Crossmyheart @ 2/1

Finished second in three of his last four starts in Grade C company, so it’s stating the obvious that he is knocking on the door. Tends to give up a few lengths in running switching from inside to outside and if he ever ran a straight course he would win pulling up.

The key to this race is that there are no strong stayers and with little emphasis on stamina, I can see him finishing fast and late to get his head in front.

The grader is hesitant dropping this fellow in class.

19:36 Bologna @ 5/2

A Grade A contest in name only. Most of the runners can feel hard done by as they have struggled in lesser Grades recently. Trap 5 Bologna has winning form in Grade A company back in March so that stands out. He also has a good attitude and a nasty fall a few starts ago hasn’t stopped him finishing in the frame in his last three races.

Connections will feel they won’t get a better chance than this to win a Grade A race.

20:08 JD Solemn Vow (Nap) @ 6/5

Returned to Fort Myers for his latest start after winning six races at Palm Beach and ran a fantastic race on his return. Set an unbelievable gallop, so much so that the camera man couldn’t keep up. No surprise he faded slightly as a result of slightly shorter trips at Palm Beach and will come on a tonne for that run.

Posted a brilliant time in finishing second and had he held on, would now be running in Grade A class.

A confident selection, so sit back and enjoy.
