Golf‘s final major is here as Scotland takes centre stage for the 152nd Open Championship.
It’s the oldest golf tournament in the world and is traditionally rotated between a select group of the best coastal links courses in the UK.
Last year, Brian Harman sensationally claimed victory at Royal Liverpool by six shots to land his first-ever career major. Incredibly, it was his first success in six years, so he’s seen as an outsider to retain the iconic Claret Jug.
Scottie Scheffler is Paddy Power’s favourite having clinched the Masters in style earlier this year. However, The Open isn’t his favourite event, with his highest finish being tied for eighth in 2021.
Rory McIlroy will fancy his chances at his home major and will have the crowd on his side, but he’ll need to be at his best.
