When is the US Open? Dates and schedule for 2024 Pinehurst golf major

Who will claim glory at the US Open?

US Open

The golf season is well underway and the 124th US Open is the latest major for fans to look forward to.

It’s the most lucrative of the four major championships, with the 2023 edition offering the largest prize pot of $20million.

The defending champion is Wyndham Clark, who sensationally lifted his first-ever major title last year having previously never finished better than 75th at any previous major championship.

Despite his heroics in Los Angeles, he’s seen as an outsider this year as he faces huge competition from some of the sports big hitters.

Rory McIlroy is once again hoping to end his major drought and finished just one shot off winner Clark 12 months ago. Unsurprisingly, Scottie Scheffler is also expected to be in the mix along with PGA Championship victor Xander Schauffele.
