The Memorial betting tips:
Patrick Cantlay
Scottie Scheffler has been playing well of late but he hasn’t been winning which is a little concerning.
He was tied second at the US PGA Championship behind Brooks Koepka before finishing tied third at the Charles Schwab Challenge. While he should have won last weekend, he’s a favourite worth taking on.
Jon Rahm didn’t fire in the US PGA and this could be a warm up for the US Open in a couple of weeks, so I’m going to swerve the Spaniard and take another look at him before that major.

Rory McIlroy has had a few weeks to forget and until he wins, it’s worth staying away from him. He was tied seventh at the PGA Championship, however, I’m not confident enough to back him at the Memorial.
I like Patrick Cantlay, who is a two-time Memorial champion. He’s made this tournament his own in the last few years, winning in 2019 and 2021.
He’s finished in the top 20 in all the big tournaments this year (including the PGA Championship and the Players) and he’s putting brilliantly at the moment. He’s our best bet of the week.
