Rory McIlroy is looking to claim his fifth major title as golf’s brightest and best take centre stage at the PGA Championship.
The Northern Irishman had gone 18 months without success before topping the leaderboard at the Wells Fargo Championship earlier this month to stake his claim for favouritism ahead of the second major of the season.

The PGA Championship 2021 is scheduled to get underway on Thursday May 20 and conclude on Sunday May 23.

A maximum field of 156 will tee off in the first round. The 70 players with the lowest scores – plus ties – after the second round on Friday May 21 will make the cut and progress to the weekend.
PGA Championship 2021 Course
The PGA Championship 2021 takes place at the wonderfully named Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort in South Carolina. Created for the 1991 Ryder Cup, the Atlantic Ocean is a stone’s throw away and it was designed with Scottish and Irish links-style courses in mind.
The Ocean Course is a Par 72 and boasts the most seaside holes in North America. Basically, don’t end up in the drink because you won’t get your ball back.
PGA Championship 2021 Odds
Rory McIlroy is the favourite with Paddy Power to win this year’s PGA Championship after ending his long trophy drought with victory at the Wells Fargo Championship.
The 32-year-old has course form having claimed his maiden PGA Championship at Kiawah Island in 2012 but is without a major win in seven years. He is chasing a third success in the tournament having also won at Valhalla Golf Club in 2014.
