Perched on Fife’s rugged North Sea coastline, players must navigate the challenging links-inspired layout and battle the unpredictable elements in order to taste success this week.
It’s off to Scotland on the European Tour this week for the Scottish Championship and that could inspire Matthew Southgate to secure a first win on the circuit.
He’s played a heck of a lot of golf in Scotland, his dad is a member at Carnoustie and his best form on the European Tour came when second just up the road at the Old Course in the Dunhill Links.
He’s playing well – he had a top 10 two starts ago – and looks the best bet in the Scottish Championship.
