Paddy’s come up with a fiendishly difficult set of golfing challenges ahead of the much-anticipated shootout and it’s fair to say some of the celebs rate themselves a bit.

News of this has clearly filtered through to Fleetwood, who came runner-up in last year’s Open, and he took to Twitter to ratchet up the pressure on Kane, the 2018 football World Cup golden boot winner.

The event is subject to a rigorous, government-approved Covid-19 testing process, with all participants – and skeleton production crew- tested before being permitted to attend.

He tweeted: “Hey @HKane, a little birdie says you rate yourself as a golfer. Let’s find out over three holes at the @paddypower Golf Shootout. #PPgolf”

Never one to shirk a challenge, Kane has responded – thought he immediately tried to play down his ability on the fairway and beyond.

He replied: “Depends how many shots you’re giving me! Look forward to it.”

The true test of Kane’s golfing prowess will be streamed live and for free across the globe from 12pm tomorrow on Paddy Power’s YouTube and Twitter pages.

Tottenham hero Kane and Everton fan Fleetwood will be joined by Andrew ‘Beef’ Johnston, Piers Morgan, Jamie Redknapp, Carly Booth, Peter Crouch, Thomas Bjorn, Andrew Flintoff and Paul McGinley for the sporting event of the summer (so far).

Kane and Fleetwood will be able to examine each other’s swings from close range as they have been paired in Group 2 for the Shootout which will tee off around 3.45pm after the completion of the challenges round from midday.
