Watch: Padraig Harrington rescues par with sensational chip

All the way from downtown…

There’s few better scramblers in the entire game of golf then Ireland’s Padraig Harrington and he proved it yet again today at the Turkish Airlines Open.

The popular Dubliner was bang in contention for the title at the start of today’s play at the Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort, teeing off just two shots behind fellow countryman Shane Lowry.

After going around the front nine in -2, things nearly went off the rails for Harrington when his approach shot to the 10th hole ended up in the water. It looked for all the world that he take a bogey as he eyed up the green with his fourth shot from the rescue zone.

The three-time major winner was having none of it though and unleashed a wonderful chip that spun perfectly into the cup saving his par, much to the delight of the crowd. Harrington walked into the clubhouse afterwards with a round of 67, netting four birdies and an eagle on his way.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough for him to claim the title as England’s Justin Rose finished on 18 under to beat him out by two shots. Still, we know what shot we’ll be watching on repeat tonight and you can join us below:
