The All-Ireland Football Championship final is inbound and we’re set for a cracker at Croke Park between Galway and Armagh.
It’s the biggest day on the Gaelic Football calendar as more than 80,000 fans will descend on the iconic Dublin arena hoping to see their side lift the Sam Maguire Cup on Sunday, July 28.
Armagh are appearing in their first All-Ireland final since 2003 and have won the prestigious prize on just one previous occasion. Galway have lifted the trophy nine times, but their last victory came all the way back in 2001.
There’s a lot at stake given both sides haven’t experienced glory in such a long time. Whatever happens, it’s sure to be a historic day.

Galway
Unsurprisingly, Galway are the favourites, according to Paddy Power’s odds for the All-Ireland Football Championship final.
The Tribesmen have had a tough road to the final having to come through the preliminary quarters after finishing second to Armagh in Group 1.
They overcame defending champions Dublin in the quarter-finals before squeezing past Donegal in the last four to make it to Croke Park, proving just how good they can be.
Galway last appeared in the final back in 2022 but lost to Kerry.
Armagh
Opportunities like this rarely come around for Armagh and it’s a chance for them to make history.
They will have to beat a strong Galway side, but impressed against serial winners Kerry in the semi-finals, eventually winning in extra time.
Armagh also came through Group 1 ahead of opponents Galway, so they could lift the Sam Maguire Cup if they play to their best.
