Sunday 4.00pm: Galway v Donegal
All-Ireland semi final match at Croke Park, Dublin
Galway to Win
Galway are up to second favourites to win the 2024 All Ireland title following a tight quarter final victory over Dublin.
That win over the defending champions has changed the picture ahead of the semi finals and Pádraic Joyce’s side should have a slight edge on opponents Donegal in what will a tight Croke Park battle.
A single point was the difference against the Dubs, following a three point victory in the previous round against Monaghan, so don’t expect a procession for Galway.
No goals scored
Galway failed to score a goal against either Monaghan and Dublin and Shane Walsh’s effort against Westmeath in the group stages is their only goal in four games.
Donegal did net a goal in their quarter final win over Louth but they only managed to score in one of their three group stage clashes.
Under 33.5 total points scored
With many of the markets looking tight for this game, it’s reasonable to back a low scoring scrap, as both sides battle for a final spot.
Galway’s win over Dublin produced exactly 33 points in total and the final tally in their game with Monaghan was 25. Two of their three group games also produced less than 31 points scored between both teams.
