Saturday 4.00pm: Galway v Monaghan
All-Ireland preliminary quarter final match at Pearse Stadium, Galway

Galway winning at half time v Monaghan

Galway narrowly missed out on an automatic quarter final place as they finished second in Group 1 in behind Armagh. However, with a unbeaten run of three games in the group stages, they will be confident of moving into the last eight, via a win over a Monaghan side who only won once at the same stage.

There is a bit more value in a half time bet in this one, with Galway developing a habit as solid starters, based on the group stages. In their last three games, Pádraic Joyce’s side have led by two points at the break on two occasions.

Saturday 5.00pm: Tyrone v Roscommon
All-Ireland preliminary quarter final match at Healy Park, Derry

Tyrone to win v Roscommon

Tyrone and Roscommon will do battle in Omagh for a place in the quarter finals. Tyrone recovered from an opening group stage loss to Donegal to pick up key wins against Clare and Cork.

Roscommon needed a late rally to seal their sole group stage victory, against Cavan last weekend, and they are unlikely to have enough against a Tyrone team bidding for back-to-back All Ireland quarter finals.

Saturday 6.30pm: Mayo v Derry
All-Ireland preliminary quarter final match at MacHale Park, Mayo

No goal scored in Mayo v Derry

Mayo v Derry catches the eye as a crunch Saturday battle in Castlebar after the hosts were held to a draw by Dublin last weekend to block their route to an automatic quarter final place.

Both sides only managed two goals across their three group stage matches and this should be a tight game. Mayo have not scored a first half goal in their last three outings and Derry have only scored before the break once in their last three.
