Sunday 1.45pm: Armagh v Galway
All-Ireland Group Stage match at Markievicz Park, Sligo

Armagh to win vs Galway

The final round of group stage games offers up some vital clashes on Sunday’s schedule. Armagh’s battle with Galway will decide top spot in Group 1 and the crucial automatic quarter final spot. The Orchard County showed their steel to storm past Derry at Celtic Park in their last outing with an 11-point victory.

Galway’s recent form includes two narrow wins, against Derry and Westmeath, and their Connacht title victory had victories against Sligo and Mayo and neither were settled by more than two points. Armagh won five of their National League games at the start of 2024, before losing the Division 2 final to Donegal, and then being edged out in a penalty shootout by Jim McGuinness’ team in the Ulster final.

Sunday 3.00pm: Monaghan v Meath
All Ireland Group Stage match at Breffni Park, Cavan

Monaghan to score first goal v Meath

Monaghan were held to the lesser seen ‘draw’ in their last game after tying with Louth in Clones. They are likely to end up in the preliminary quarter-finals and are expected to beat a Meath side which has lost both of their group games so far.

Meath scored exactly nine points in both losses to Louth and Kerry, but they are yet to score a goal at this stage, with Monaghan scoring three in two matches.

Dublin to win by 1-3 points v Mayo

Sunday 3.45pm: Dublin v Mayo
All Ireland Group Stage match at Dr Hyde Park, Roscommon

Dublin were incredible in their first All-Ireland appearance away from the capital last time out with a dominant 5-17 to 0-13 win on the road at Cavan. The Dubs meet old foes Mayo in Roscommon in a straight scrap for first place in Group 2.

Dessie Farrell’s team overpowered Roscommon and Cavan but this will be their toughest test of the tournament to date. Mayo have been slow burners so far, including a Connacht final loss to Galway, and they will push the holders all the way in this tie.
