Louth to win vs Kildare
Louth are bidding to reach back-to-back Leinster finals as they take on Kildare in Croke Park on Sunday. The Wee County were dismantled by Dublin in the 2023 showpiece with Kildare comfortably beaten by the all powerful Dubs in the previous two provincial finals.
Heading into this clash, Louth produced the better semifinal showing, as they beat Wexford by seven points, and stuck four goals in the back of the net in Portlaoise. Kildare scrapped for a one-point victory over Wicklow in the earlier game at O’Moore Park, but they failed to win a single Allianz League game at the start of 2024, and lost at home to Louth in March.
Donegal to win vs Tyrone
Donegal somewhat upset the odds last weekend in what was expected to be a tight Ulster quarterfinal against Derry. Jim McGuinness’ side sealed a six-point victory over their hosts to book a return ticket to Celtic Park.
Tyrone needed extra time to get past Cavan in their own quarterfinal, eventually snatching a single point win, and Donegal are strong favourites to go on and make the Ulster final.
They were also unbeaten in league action at the start of 2024, and secured promotion into Division One with a final win over Armagh, as Tyrone endured a mixed campaign in the top tier.
Dublin to score over 30.5+ points v Offaly
Dublin finally joined the All Ireland party last weekend as the defending champions cruised to a 3-19 to 0-12 win over Meath in the Leinster quarterfinals to set up a Croke Park date with Offaly.
Offaly impressed in their victory over Laois, but the focus will be on keeping the score down here, as Dublin push for 14th successive Leinster final.
Dublin failed to break the 30 point mark against Meath and only managed to get over that benchmark once during the entire 2024 league campaign. However, the big game Leinster moments have seen them hit ruthless mode in recent years, with three of their last four semifinal or final provincial games featuring 30 or more points for the Dubs.
