Galway to score first goal vs Sligo
Both Galway and Sligo eased through their quarter final tests to set up a semi final showdown at Markievicz Park this weekend.
Sligo secured a nine point win over Leitrim, as Galway racked up a cricket score of 5-21 on the road in London, and the latter are heavily fancied to storm into the Connacht final, up against either Roscommon or Mayo next month.
Sligo averaged a goal per game, in their seven Allianz League matches at the start of 2024, but they failed to find the back of the net at Leitrim, as Galway smashed in five in Ruislip.
Cork to score first point v Kerry
There is no value in a winning bet here, as Kerry are tipped to cruise into another Munster final, despite Cork recording 3-13 in their quarter final win over Limerick a fortnight ago.
The Kingdom are second favourites to win the 2024 All Ireland title outright, after losing the 2023 final to old foes Dublin, and the holders are favourites once again.
However, they may not have it all plain sailing against Cork, with the visitors already in action in the competition. They have the firepower to cause some early problems for a Kerry defence that has not played a competitive game since the end of the league campaign.
Derry to win by 1-3 points v Donegal
This clash could be a cracker at Celtic Park with Derry winning the Allianz Division 1 title via a penalty shootout victory over Dublin and Donegal edging past Armagh in the Division 2 final.
Derry are favourites to come out on top with their confidence boosted by that gritty win over the Dubs, but it should be a contest of fine margins. There was nothing to separate themselves and Dublin after extra time and Donegal only beat Armagh by a single point.
Six out of Derry’s eight league games were settled by a scoreline of six points or less.
