Antrim to score first goal vs Down
Antrim and Down have already faced each in 2024 as Ceilum Doherty’s late goal gave the Mournemen a 1-15 to 1-06 win at Corrigan Park back in February. Despite going on to lose the Division Three final to Westmeath, Down still ended the league campaign six victories, ahead of their All Ireland season start.
Down are heavy favourites to beat Antrim once more, but Paddy McAleer scored the first goal in their league clash, and Antrim average just over a goal a game since the start of 2024.
Laois to win vs Offaly
Laois stormed to promotion out of Division 4 with an emphatic league final win over Leitrim at the end of March. They will be looking to carry that form over into the All Ireland as they host neighbours Offaly in Portlaoise this weekend. Offaly only managed two league victories, and despite playing at a higher level than Laois this year, they are tipped to bow out at this stage.
Kildare to be winning at half time and full time vs Wicklow
Kildare endured a torrid league campaign, with seven defeats from seven, as they suffered relegation from Division Two. However, the prospect of an All Ireland opener against Wicklow gives a chance for redemption. Wicklow secured a one point win over Westmeath last weekend to set up this clash, and with Kildare firm overall favourites to win, a half time/full time winning bet is an eye-catching option.
Armagh to score first goal vs Fermanagh
Armagh and Fermanagh ended their Division Two season with contrasting results as the former narrowly missed out on promotion after a one point final loss to Donegal. Their league meeting ended in an away victory for Armagh in Enniskillen and they are predicted to repeat the trick again this weekend.
Neither side managed to score a goal in that encounter and Armagh may need to find the back of the net to get some momentum in what could be a tricky tie.
