This is a huge game. This is a rivalry that’s going back about 12-15 years at this stage, there’s been some big games between the two. I’d say Castlebar is going to be packed for this.
There’s talk in Kerry about Sean O’Shea and potentially David Clifford being back in the fold now as well, so I’m sure that’ll add to the excitement in the county.
This is a tough game to call. Mayo have had two good draws so far. Kerry weren’t their best against Donegal on the first day, but they really kicked on last time out against Monaghan.
I’m going to go for an away win here. The prospect of Sean O’Shea and maybe David Clifford being back, along with an extra body or two, I think it just about gives Kerry the edge in this one.
A big midlands derby here. For me, I think the home advantage just about tips this in Westmeath’s favour. They were very lacklustre in round one against Cavan, but, put up a big score against Longford in round two.
Offaly have snuck in under the radar a bit, they’ve got two good wins under their belt. They’ll be looking up rather than down. But I think Westmeath have found their mojo and home advantage will be key.
Louth v Limerick – Louth to win
Sunday, 2:00pm
Louth have been particularly unlucky in their first two games. Home to Derry last time out and were unlucky not get something. First round, they were basically leading for the whole match against Clare.
I think Louth will get their win in this one. They’re strong at home, and they’ll use that to their advantage this weekend.
