It’s been a bit strange having the other final in July but it’s huge for both teams. I think the build up’s been a bit quiet but it’s been huge down here. The last time Kerry won the All Ireland was 2014 and I was lucky enough to be part of that group.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

It was a hard fought All Ireland, no different to this year’s I suppose. There was a lot of talk about this group, they finally got the Dublin monkey off their back and every year down here you’re judged on winning the All Ireland.

That’s not being arrogant, it’s just the way it is. If you don’t win it it feels like a failure and it was no different in my time. It’s a huge game for both teams but I think it’s a game that Kerry can get over the line.

All Ireland Final
TV: RTÉ2 and Sky Sports Arena

Kerry (-4)

Anytime you beat Dublin you’re going to go in as favourites but we’re always cautious down here in Kerry about finals, they can go any way, they have a life of their own. I think Kerry will win the game by three or four points and Kerry (-4) on the handicap would be my pick for a bit of value, rather than the ‘match odds’ as the Kingdom are long odds on.

There could also be a bit of value in taking the winning margin in Kerry’s favour to be 1-3 points.

David Clifford to Score First

The in-form player at the moment is David Clifford. In the Dublin game last weekend he had six points in the first half and I think he’s due a goal. So I think Kerry to Win and David Clifford First Goal Scorer.
