WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

1.45pm: Galway v Roscommon – Connaught Football Final

TV: RTÉ2

There was a bit of shadow boxing when these two met in the league. Galway are probably looking further down the road at the moment, but at the same time you can not write off Roscommon. With the likes of Shane Walsh in their team, Galway can win by at least 3 points. I’ll take them at  (-2) on the handicap to become Connaught champions.

Walsh is one of the in-form players, he’s got pace, a beautiful footballer. I think Walsh is your best bet for the First Goal on Sunday.

4pm: Donegal v Derry – Ulster Championship

TV: RTÉ2

This will be close. Derry have had some big wins recently and Donegal are one of those teams I’ve really fancied in the last few years. The home side have learned a lot with how they set up and  Donegal will just pass the (-1) handicap.

In a tight game you look to your form players to deliver. Paddy McBrearty certainly fits the bill. I’ll go with Paddy McBrearty to be the First Goalscorer.
