Ahead of this weekend’s GAA Championship football action, we’ve got our expert, five-time all Ireland winner, Aidan O’Mahony to give us his tips ahead of the action.

We’ll hear Aidan’s take on the Ulster Championship match between Donegal and Cavan on Sunday, but we’ll start with his best betting tips as Aidan’s old side Kerry play Cork in the Munster Championship on Saturday.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Cork v Kerry – Kerry to cover the handicap & David Clifford to score a goal

Saturday 7 May, 6pm.

There’s been a strange build-up over the past couple of weeks. It’s a very big game for Cork now, I think they’ll put their foot down, which, rightly so, the players are entitled to.

It’s a big game for Kerry, and a big game for Jack O’Connor and I think that Jack will want to see things sorted early on. I think that Kerry will cover the handicap, which is 11 points in this one. For a good goalscorer, you can’t look past David Clifford. He had a quiet game last year and I’ve no doubt he’ll want to rectify that this year at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, so David will be my goalscorer as well.

Donegal v Cavan – Donegal to cover the handicap and Paddy McBrearty to score a goal

Sunday 8 May, 4pm.

I think Donegal will definitely cover the five-point handicap, they had a big win against Armagh first day out. I think Armagh at the start of the year would have pencilled in that game hoping for a result against Donegal.

Donegal had an up and down league, but with Michael Murphy back now and their big players back, I can only see a Donegal win. For a goalscorer, obviously we’ll be looking at Michael Murphy, but I’m gonna go for Paddy McBrearty.
