Henry Shefflin will be delighted to pick up his first national league win but he’s got the ultimate test at Limerick on Saturday evening and the home of the All Ireland champions. I’m sure there’ll be a massive crowd there to see this match.
In this fixture last year, Galway overcame Limerick up at Salthill behind closed doors by six points. I’m sure there’s going to be a big, big reaction from Limerick on the back of that defeat to Wexford last week.
It’s a big game from Limerick’s point of view and I think John Kiely will put out a strong team. I would envisage that Limerick would win this match by five or six points. The handicap is four so I like Limerick (-4).
Limerick might score a goal at the weekend. They’ll look to go for a big tally on the points board but I think they will raise a couple of green flags at the weekend with it.
You know what you’re going to get from Kilkenny. Coming in off what they’d probably view as an under-par performance last weekend against Antrim, I’m sure there will be a reaction.
The betting suggests that Tipperary are strong favourites but I think, a bit like the Dublin v Waterford game last weekend, it’s hard to separate both of these teams. I’ll go with the value bet and I think there’s a bit of value in Kilkenny to Win. You know what you’re going to get off the back of a bad display and I’d slightly lean towards them.
You’re looking at Jason Forde for goals, maybe. Mossy Keoghan registered a few goals last weekend too. Billy Ryan, Walter Walsh might start. But for my first goals scorer, Jake Morris might pop up with the first green flag of the weekend.

I’m going for a first goalscorer. He came on last weekend against Wexford and I’m going to go for Seamus Flanagan to be the First Goalscorer in this match.
