13:35 Limerick v Tipperary: Limerick (+3)

Limerick come into this game with some great momentum has gaining promotion from Division 4 of the National League a couple of weeks ago and then downing Waterford with ease in the Munster Championship last weekend. They meet a Tipperary outfit who had a great win themselves last time out, as they saw off Clare by a goal in the Munster quarter-final.

There really shouldn’t be much in this game and I’m a bit surprise that Tipperary are such clear favourites to win. Limerick are a good bet here on the (+3) handicap, and that’s what I’m going with for this contest at the LIT Gaelic Grounds.

13:15 Cavan v Antrim: Antrim (+6)

Cavan arrive here on the back of an outstanding last second extra time win over Monaghan in the preliminary round of the Ulster Championship last weekend. They are heavy frontrunners to win this game and that has me looking to the handicap market again.

Antrim have a (+6) handicap heading into this contest and they have every chance of landing that punt. You’d expect Cavan to win this, but they may have some tired bodies after the Monaghan victory and should help my pick come in.

18:15 Dublin v Westmeath: Westmeath (+14)

This is the shortest price I’ve ever seen on a team to win a Championship match. Dublin are just unbackable here as they meet Westmeath at O’Moore Park in Portlaoise. The handicap is (+14) for Westmeath and I believe Jack Cooney’s men can bring that bet in. Dublin have looked rusty since the intercounty season returned and that should help my pick here.

Colm O’Rourke’s tips summary:

Limerick v Tipperary: Limerick (+3)
Dublin v Westmeath: Westmeath (+14)
Cavan v Antrim: Antrim (+6)

A treble on these three best bets pays at approximately 7/1 with Paddy Power.
