Sunday is a tricky one in the top tier of the National League, as more teams are fighting to stay in the division rather than trying to win it. Mayo are one of those teams attempting to survive and they need to win home to Tyrone to do just that.
Mayo could also stay up if they lose and other results go their way, but I believe they can get the job done at Elverys MacHale Park. I wasn’t one bit impressed with Tyrone’s showing against Donegal with last weekend and Mickey Harte’s men have suspension issues heading into this one as well. But, it should be a home win in this one.
Home advantage should be key for Séamus McEnaney’s Monaghan here as they welcome Meath to Clones. Meath gave Dublin a tough battle last weekend, but I fancy Monaghan to see them off as they continue their fight for Division 1 survival. It will be unfair on Meath to exit the division with zero points, but that’s how cut-throat it is at this level.
Derry have a bit of a trek down to O’Connor Park in Tullymore as they take on Offaly. Derry picked off a good win at home against Longford last weekend and should carry that momentum with them into this contest. That makes them a good tip to round out our Sunday treble.
