The memories must have come flooding back for Tipperary great Eoin Kelly as soon as the final whistle blew in his county’s epic semi-final victory over Wexford two weeks ago.
Not only because the men from the Premier County were through to yet another All-Ireland final, but because of the opposition that awaits them in the final.
Brian Cody and Kilkenny stand in Tipperary’s way, and it was a victory over the same opponents in 2010 that allowed Kelly to live out his boyhood dream of lifting the Liam MacCarthy Cup as captain of his county that day.
