The memories must have come flooding back for Tipperary great Eoin Kelly as soon as the final whistle blew in his county’s epic semi-final victory over Wexford two weeks ago.
Not only because the men from the Premier County were through to yet another All-Ireland final, but because of the opposition that awaits them in the final.
Brian Cody and Kilkenny stand in Tipperary’s way, and it was a victory over the same opponents in 2010 that allowed Kelly to live out his boyhood dream of lifting the Liam MacCarthy Cup as captain of his county that day.
Ahead of Sunday’s final Kelly – who is a Paddy Power News GAA columnist for the 2019 season – sat down with us to reveal the fascinating stories behind his favourite jerseys from his legendary career for club and county.
