Watch: Diarmuid O’Sullivan uncorks his thoughts on 2018 for the Rebels

He’s never been one to pull out of a hard challenge and that’s exactly what the Cork legend got on his visit to Power Tower…

As signings go, they don’t get much bigger in the world of hurling than Diarmuid ‘The Rock’ O’Sullivan. However, that’s exactly what we’ve done and we’ve snatched him up for the 2018 Hurling Championship.

The Cork icon joins Tipperary’s Eoin Kelly as our two Hurling ambassadors this season and they’ll have exclusive columns on Paddy News throughout the rest of the GAA year.

We won’t lie, we’ve googled his shoulder against Limerick in the 2001 Munster Hurling Championship quarter-final about 50,000 times and even wowed our football ambassadors Paul Ince and Emmanuel Petit with the chip, so it was a tad intimating to be in the great man’s presence when he popped into Power Tower.

He couldn’t have been nicer though and we got the three-time All-Ireland winner to sit down to give us his views on how 2018 will pan out for his beloved Rebel County.

Given he prowled the sidelines as part of the Cork management for the last two seasons there’s probably no better man to listen to on their fortunes this year and you can watch his views for yourself below:
