10am Wales v Iran
TV: BBC, RTE
Wales have to win here. They were all over the place in the first half against USA but in the second half they were better. The Americans were fit and very physical so it was a good result. I’d say Wales will Win 2-0 against Iran. To be honest with you, to say Iran were awful against England is giving them too much praise.
1pm: Qatar v Senegal
TV: BBC, RTE
Qatar looked like the host nation which basically means they haven’t played football to any great, competitive level. They were awful in the opening game and I can’t see that improving here. Senegal are too big, too strong. 1-0 Senegal.
4pm: Netherlands v Ecuador
TV: ITV, RTE
The Netherlands left it late to beat Senegal while Ecuador strolled it against Qatar. I’m going to go for another win for The Netherlands, I’ll go 1-0. Even though they scored twice I’m not convinced about them in attack but they’ll certainly get enough chances to get one goal.
7pm: England v USA
TV: ITV, RTE
England played well, they started off at a high tempo. They scored early and put it to bed early against a dire Iran side. They’ll be sweating on Harry Kane’s fitness even though that scan seems to be okay. He’s had a few ankle injuries over the years. USA will swarm all over them like bees but I just don’t see a USA victory. I see a narrow 2-1 win to England.
