First there was England’s goal in the 1966 final that did/didn’t cross the line (depending on where you’re from), then came the Hand of God, Henry’s handball, Lampard’s Ghost Goal… the list goes on.
Unfortunately Paddy’s Justice Refund wasn’t around back then to right the World Cup wrongs but this is 2022 people. Times have changed.
When he sense something that just doesn’t sit right, our bean counters hit the big red button marked ‘Justice Refund’ to at least right the wrong from a punting point of view.
And given the way the tournament was awarded and all the controversy surrounding the Qatar World Cup in 2022, was it any surprise that we’ve had to deliver sporting justice during this tournament?
