WHEN: Sunday 16th of March, 1:30pm
WHERE: Craven Cottage, London
Both teams to score, yes
The first set of stats that jumps out at us here is that Fulham’s games of late have featured Both Teams to Score landing in seven of their last eight in all competitions, while for Spurs, we’ve seen it occurring in three of their last five.
The Cottagers have bagged six goals over their last five home Premier League games, too, so you’d have to expect them to get at least one here. Ange Postecoglou’s away side have scored nine over their last five on their travels. With both sides conceding eight and seven, respectively, over those five games, we should see the net rattling at both ends here.
Son Heung-Min to have 1+ shots on goals
Son Heung-Min has endured a frustrating campaign, scoring just seven goals so far, although he has provided an assist on nine occasions. With an average of 2.0 shots per game he’s going to be eager to get in double figures and push on from there for the remainder of the season.
He’ll be playing provider to Domonic Solanke here, so we should see some good link-up player and we’re expecting the South Korean to land at least one shot on target.

James Maddison to have 1+ shots on target
James Maddison has quietly being putting in some good performances for the Lillywhites of late, impressing in Spurs’ wins over Man United and Ipswich and that fightback against Bournemouth when they were trailing 0-2. It was no coincidence that the hosts got both of their goals after he replaced Rodrigo Bentancur on the hour mark.
His shots numbers aren’t as high as Son’s above but the crucial role he plays in midfield means he’s always going to pop up within goal range. Fulham defend their square resolutely but often leave space in front of it, something Maddison will certainly be looking to take advantage of here.
Alex Iwobi to have 1+ shots on target
It’s not going to be one-way traffic here though, we expect both teams to score after all and we’ll probably see at least a third goal scored too. When it comes to shots for Fulham, Raul Jiminez is, of course, first on the list with an average of 2.7 per game but Alex Iwobi with 1.9 isn’t all that far behind him and there’s far better value in backing him to land one on target against Guglielmo Vicario between the Spurs’ sticks.
Over 3.5 Cards
Over the last five meetings between the sides played at Craven Cottage, the man in the middle has produced 5, 3, 4, 3, and 5 cards. We could never really accuse either of these sides of dirty play, but we’re going to see a rather interesting midfield battle here, and it has the look of a match where plenty of tackles are going to be flying in as each side will look to dominate the middle of the park to get forward.
With a respective average of 2.18 and 1.86 cards picked up per Premier League game, we should see a minimum of four cards shown as the midfield battle intensifies over the ninety minutes.
