Despite throwing away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at Brentford in midweek, an unbeaten streak of four league games is step in the right direction following a dismal end to 2024 for the defending champions.
Ipswich are hanging dangerously above the relegation zone as the season moves into its second half with Kieran McKenna gearing up for a survival battle in the coming weeks and months.

Manchester City travel to Ipswich on Sunday with Pep Guardiola’s side looking to bounce back from their 2-2 draw at Brentford in midweek.
They let a two-goal lead slip on Tuesday night but I fancy them to get back to winning ways against Ipswich, who struggled to create chances against Brighton last time out.
I’m on Man City to win and both teams to score – yes. Guardiola’s side have struggled to keep clean sheets this season and with the crowd behind them, Ipswich can get a goal. If I had to pick a scoreline, I’m going 3-1 to City.
There’s value in backing Liam Delap to be shown a card. I love his game as he’s an old fashioned centre-forward. He puts himself about and he’s already got seven yellows this season. He’ll be playing on scraps and he could get frustrated and fly into a couple of tackles.
Finally, I’ll go with Erling Haaland to score. He’s in a battle for the Golden Boot this season and he’s got a great opportunity to get on the scoresheet against Ipswich’s leaky defence.
