Both teams to score, yes
Manchester United’s 1-1 draw against Twente in midweek was their first in four that saw both teams score, yet a continuation of that trend is expected when Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham come to visit on Sunday.
This is largely driven by Spurs’ style of play, which is open and expansive and invites goals at both ends of the field.
Only four of the guests’ seven matches this season have seen both teams score, but their midweek win over Qarabag in the Europa League demonstrated why this fixture is likely to see goals at either end.
Spurs might have claimed a 3-0 win, yet they conceded 2.01xG. Man United will be deadlier, but equally, Tottenham will back themselves to score at Old Trafford.
Brennan Jonson to have 1+ shots on target
Wales international Johnson has hit a rich vein of form for Tottenham, with the winger having netted in each of his last three matches, including the midweek Europa League clash against Qarabag. The current price for him to get a shot on target in this game looks extremely long.
He has managed a shot on target in each of his last five outings for Spurs this season, and only once this term has he turned out for the Londoners without calling the opposing goalkeeper into action. Johnson also managed a shot on target at Old Trafford last term.
Bruno Fernandes to have 3+ shots
Manchester United’s shooting stats this season have been dominated by Bruno Fernandes, who has had twice as many Premier League efforts as any of his teammates.
The Portuguese midfielder has taken aim at goal 17 times this term, remarkably hitting the target with only three of these efforts. He has been fearless when it has come to shooting from range, with his average effort coming from outside the box.
Bruno has mustered at least three shots in his last five starts for club and country, accumulating 19 efforts at goal over these games. He had eight shots across Man United’s two Premier League matches against Spurs last term.
Kobbie Mainoo to commit 1+ fouls
Regarding the fouls market, Kobbie Mainoo is Man United’s player to watch this season. The England international has committed nine offences this season but has been the victim on ten occasions.
Both of these are club-leading figures, and Mainoo has committed at least one foul in six of his last seven matches for club and country.
He will go up against James Maddison in the middle of the Tottenham midfield, with the former Leicester man having been the victim of 11 fouls in the Premier League this term. No Spurs player has suffered more fouls this season, and that trend should continue as he squares up against Man United’s leading fouler.

One of the hallmarks of Postecoglou’s football is that his teams win a huge number of corners. When they last visited Old Trafford, they won 13 of these situations against Man United’s eight. This season, Spurs’ tendency to win corner kicks has been maintained.
With 53 corners this season at a rate of 10.6 per match, no team gets close to the London side in this capacity. United may sit joint third in the Premier League regarding corners won, but they are a full 19 behind their Sunday guests, nearly four per game.
Spurs have had more corners than their opponents in all five Premier League games, so their price to continue that streak is attractive.
