Paddy Power ambassador Phil Thompson goes head-to-head with our football trader Brian McDonnell over Wolves versus Man United on Sunday afternoon.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
These two had a great time of it last week, can they pull the same trick again this week? Let’s find out…
4.30pm: Wolves v Manchester United
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
THOMMO
Wolves fans won’t like me for this but I don’t think they’ve got any chance of winning here. I’m going with Manchester United to Win, I think they’re going to have too much. Wolves have lost their opening two games and haven’t really showed too much.
One glaring thing in my mind is Adama Traore going through in one of the games and not being able to put it away. They just don’t look like they’re going to score. Raul Jimenez is back. Hopefully he can start scoring again, I do wish it for him.
But since he fractured his skull, in 25 games they’ve only scored 30 goals which I am absolutely amazed by. It shows you where they’re struggling, but Jimenez has never scored against Manchester United. I do fancy them to get on the scoresheet, I always think United give other teams a chance.
It’s Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s 100th game! They’ll be hoping for the record, 28 games unbeaten away from home, which is quite astonishing. They are on a good run away, and I do fancy Manchester United. I’m going for United to Win 3-1 so Both Teams To Score and Mason Greenwood to Score Anytime.

I’m in complete agreement with what Phil has said there. Obviously United are coming off the back of a strange one last week in their 1-1 draw with Southampton. Before the game I went into it thinking that was going to be a comfortable 2-0 or 3-0 win for them.
It was just one of those days for them. I think their xG was over 2.5 Goals, Southampton managed to get the lead early through a deflected strike and they were able to frustrate United for the rest of the game. I don’t think that will affect United this week.
Wolves have had two narrow defeats, they probably controlled both games but they just weren’t able to put the ball into the net. Adama Traore’s had a few great chances in both of their games so far, he’s been put through one-on-one but hasn’t put the ball past the keeper.
Jimenez is probably not back up to Premier League tempo yet so they’re struggling to score goals and if you’re not scoring goals you’re not going to win games. They’re coming up against a Manchester United team who I don’t think are going to concede this weekend. I do think it’s going to be a Manchester United Win to Nil and I agree with Phil, I’m happy to go with Mason Greenwood to Score Anytime.
