Sunday 8pm: Spain v England
Euro 2024 Final at Olympiastadion, Berlin
TV: BBC, ITV and RTE2

Lamine Yamal to have 2+ shots

The Barcelona teenager has been an absolute revelation at the highest international level. He wasn’t a definite starter pre-tournament but his performances in the pre-Euros friendlies forced Luis de la Fuentes’ hand and he has produced the goods.

This bet concentrates on Yamal’s shot volume and it looks like a value leg of the bet builder. The youngster has hit at least two shots in four of his five Euro 2024 matches at an average of 3.44 shots per 90 minutes at the tournament.

Moreover, he has earned the trust of the team and they are keen to supply him as often as they can. He hits shots from outside the box, which is always helpful for these bets, and he has even had the responsibility of taking free-kicks from the side of the pitch that favours left-footed takers.

Alvaro Morata to be fouled 2+ times

The Atletico Madrid forward has been involved in lots of physical duels in this tournament, especially in the latter stages.

He seems to have been given a role by Luis de la Fuentes to expend all of his energy harassing the opposition defenders and defensive midfielders until at least the 70th minute when he will often get replaced.

In the last couple of matches especially, Morata has been fouled seven times altogether, three against Germany and then four against France, so to get a workable price for two or more fouls looks good value.

Spain corner match bet

England didn’t manage a single corner against the Netherlands and have been generally low on corners across the tournament as a whole.

The Three Lions have only managed 22 corners to this point of the tournament compared to Spain’s 34, so although Spain didn’t win the corner battle in their semi-final against France, this should be a different type of match.

There is, of course, a certain game state dependence on this market, but Spain have shown that they are capable of turning their possession into corners in a much more regular way than England have. Spain should have more of the territory and possession here when it is a level game.

Fabian Ruiz to have 2+ shots

Fabian Ruiz has had a stellar tournament and his shot volume and goal contributions have been a major part of that.

The PSG man has been very consistent in getting shots away for his nation, striking at least two shots in four of his five starts, including each of his last four matches.

He has the excellent combination of being able to break into the box and shoot from distance, this has combined to him averaging 2.98 shots per 90 at this tournament. England have had matches where they have conceded shots to midfielders, Denmark’s central midfielders managed seven in their group game, so there could be a weakness to exploit there.
