Michel Aebischer to be Fouled 1 or more Times

Bologna midfielder, Michel Aebischer, has been pressed into action as a left wing back by Murat Yakin and he seems to be thriving there in this tournament. He is creating chances, and he is also being regularly fouled. After an opening match where he was fouled just once, Aebischer has become increasingly targeted.

He has been fouled twice in each of the subsequent matches against Scotland, Germany, and Italy. This makes the price for him to be fouled only once or more in this fixture a very tempting one. He will be in direct competition with England’s right wing-back, though we don’t know who that might be, a player involved in a wing-back role is rarely such a price to be fouled.

Silvan Widmer to Commit 1 or more Fouls

Widmer looks like he will be going one-on-one with Bukayo Saka in this match if the suggested team news about England is correct. Regardless, the Swiss wing-back has a perfectly good track record of fouls on his own, enough to believe that getting a price for one or more is a good addition to our Bet Builder.

Widmer is just back off a yellow card suspension earned in the group stages. He committed four fouls in that stage, two fouls in the opener and one in each thereafter. Bukayo Saka is a fouls winning machine. He has been in the Premier League fouls drawn top ten in each of the last four seasons, finishing fifth in the list this year.

The Arsenal man has been cropped seven times in this tournament as well, and while there is no guarantee that it will be Widmer who fouls him, there is a good chance to play into the calculations here.

Jude Bellingham to have 2 or more Shots

We all know about Jude Bellingham’s heroics in the last match and there is hope that it may spur him on to greater efforts in the remaining matches of the tournament. This leg is based more upon Bellingham the player than his record in this tournament alone. He has had only three shots in the tournament as a whole,
but two came in the last match. Bellingham has already developed something of a cult reputation for being that archetypal big-match player.

He scored in both Clasicos this season with late goals for Real Madrid, he has obviously just done the same thing in the round of 16 for England. Coming into this tournament he looked imperious against Belgium, dragging the team to a draw, having seven shots in the process, and he managed two shots against Brazil despite being fouled regularly.

In the quarter-finals of the World Cup, playing a deeper role, he managed to find space for two shots against France. In a more free role here, he looks a good bet to at least repeat that.

Dan Ndoye to have 2 or more Shots

There have probably been no Swiss players as impressive as Ndoye in the opening few matches in Euro 2024. The winger has been deployed in a few different positions already but Murat Yakin is desperate to have him in the team in any capacity.

Whatever role he is asked to play in this match, most likely in the front three with the return of Silvan Widmer, he is a goal threat for the Swiss. He is currently the player with the highest xG total in the Swiss team, and he has accumulated that from 13 shots struck so far in the tournament, the same number as Harry Kane in joint-fifth for the tournament.

This averages out to 3.7 per 90 so to be able to get even money for just two here looks a good bet, Ndoye hasn’t had fewer than two shots so far in the tournament, and although England don’t tend to concede many shots, Ndoye has been the Swiss’ key weapon so they should be able to manufacture those chances for him.
