To be honest, I don’t fancy Turkey.
To top a group featuring France and the Dutch was phenomenal from Austria – and it was mighty impressive beating the latter 3-2.
They scored six goals in those three group games. Not bad going at all.
Turkey scored five themsleves. For those who like backing Both Teams to Score: Yes, that would look a good bet here.
The former Everton man Cenk Tosun, who used to live about 300 yards away from me before going back to Turkey, that late goal he scored against Czech Republic helped get them through in second place.
This was a tough one to call. It will be very, very tight, but I’m going for Austria to win.
