Denmark v England Tips
England to Win 1-2
Harry Kane First Goalscorer
England began their Euro 2024 journey with an unconvincing 0-1 win over Serbia on Sunday night. Gareth Southgate’s midfield conundrum continues as he tries to fit square pegs into round holes. Denmark throw away a 0-1 lead going into the final stages against Slovenia making their path to the Last 16 a wee bit tougher.
Paddy’s mate, Phil Thompson isn’t expecting fireworks here but he’s backing an England win. Let’s get his full thoughts…
Thursday, June 20: 17:00 – Denmark v England
Euro 2024 Group C match – Frankfurt
TV: BBC/RTE2
I’m expecting England to make it two wins from two. Denmark started really well against Slovenia. They dominated the game and got the goal, but never pushed it home.
If you don’t take advantage, in these games one lapse of concentration can cost you.
England got that clean sheet against Serbia, but I’m expecting Denmark to get one here.
I’m backing Both Teams to Score, and England to Win the game 2-1.
Harry Kane was very quiet in the first half but he had that great header well saved by the Serbia goalkeeper.
I think he was a bit frustrated, and I’m backing him to get off the mark and score in this game.
For a Bet Builder, I’d take England to Win, Under 3.5 Goals, Harry Kane to Score, Jude Bellingham to have 1 or more Shots on Target and Phil Foden to have 1 or more Shots on Target.
