Euro 2024 Betting Tips: Check out Paddy’s epic Cheat Sheet for this summer’s showpiece

It's nearly time, people.

It’s fair to say that Paddy’s excited for the long-awaited start of Euro 2024 on Friday 14th of June.

He’s got his wallchart up, he’s bombing around the office with the sweepstake kit and he’s even offering opinions on how far Scotland are going to go in the big show.

The excitement is so strong that he’s commissioned one of his epic cheat sheets that you may well recognise from the Cheltenham Festival or Royal Ascot.

The latest Euro 2024 odds are on PaddyPower.com now

He’s interrupted Phil Thompson‘s hard-earned summer hols, given Peter Crouch the call and gone round to Mark Lawrenson‘s house to get his views on the upcoming bonanza.

Needless to say the traders have been running for cover but some of the greener lads have been cornered by the boss and they’ve offered up a hot take or two. Our pal Kenny Miller’s also delivered the view from the Tartan Army as well.

We’ve dallied up one of our top tipsters here at Paddy Power News, tapping in to the mega mind of Andrew Beasley, and Paddy’s thrown his big green oar in as well. Of course he has. So here we go with our epic cheat sheet for Euro 2024!

My winner for Euro 2024 is France, they’ve got a great chance. They’ve got a lot of good players and with Paul Pogba not being there I don’t think they have too many prima donnas!

Mark Lawrenson

I don’t like to say this but I think England are going to win! Now’s the time, they are just so, so, so strong and they’ve got an embarrassment of riches.

Paddy Power

There’s something about Germany in major tournaments and having home advantage is massive. They’re probably in the ‘good’ side of the draw. I can see them getting to the final and nicking it.

Andrew Beasley

France have been to the final of three of the last four major tournaments. They are the top ranked UEFA side and the higher rated team has won five of the seven finals.

PP Trader

With a favourable record on their side and the potential to avoid all the massive names until the semi-final, it is a fair shout to back France to win Euro 2024.

Kenny Miller

I think France will win because they’ve got the edge over everyone else. They’ve got the superstar in Kylian Mbappe and their squad is ridiculous.

Peter Crouch

Portugal and France will be strong, I’m not saying England because it might happen then. I’ll side with France.

Phil Thompson

I’m going for Portugal. They’re probably going to be in the right side of the draw to set up a showdown with France in the final and they’ve got the talent to do something big.

Mark Lawrenson

I think it might be the French, a re-run of that World Cup match in which England obviously owe them one. If you think back to that game it was so, so close with Harry Kane missing that penalty.

Paddy Power

Sorry England but you’re going out to France in the semi finals. And as I’ve stuck my neck out for Germany it’s the French losing in the final.

Andrew Beasley

2016 champions Portugal look a good choice here. They were the best team in qualifying, and the draw implies they shouldn’t have to meet another group winner until the semi-final.

PP Trader

Germany have made the semi-finals in three of the last four Euros and host status could nudge them on a little further. The market is backing England and France but a Germany final appearance looks to be a solid shout.

Kenny Miller

I think they’ll be in the right side of the draw so I’ll go for Germany to meet France in the final.

Peter Crouch

I just have a feeling about Germany going far.

Phil Thompson

This might not be a surprise but I’m going for Portugal. When you look at that squad you see a team of great talent but are they dark horses? They’ve got the talent but are not among the main favourites so I think so.

Mark Lawrenson

They might be more of a grey but Spain could surprise people after a few poor tournaments. They’ve struggled to score goals but they’ve got some outstanding players.

Paddy Power

Austria are in some form and they’ll be comfortable in Germany. They will get a plum Last 16 draw if they finish second in Group D and probably take on Portugal in the quarters. Maybe we’ll see a stroppy Ronaldo as Austria make the semis.

Andrew Beasley

Hungary appear to be the best dark horse wager. They won’t fear the other Group A teams Switzerland or Scotland so there could be value in backing Hungary to reach the quarter-finals.

PP Trader

Austria could reach the quarter-finals. France and the Netherlands face off in game two which could put Austria in the driving seat against Poland before needing a result against the Dutch.

Kenny Miller

Italy are my dark horses for the tournament. I know they are a top team with plenty of history, but no one is talking about them going into the Euros.

Peter Crouch

Germany are not really dark horses but they’re not fancied either and no-one seems to rate them. They’ve got some top players and I think they’re going to have a good run.

Phil Thompson

Kylian Mbappe has to be in the picture. He’s left PSG, he’ll be wanting to make a big statement on his arrival in Madrid, and he’ll just go for it. When you’re looking at this market you have to go for finalists.

Mark Lawrenson

I’m going for Harry Kane. This is killing me, absolutely killing me, but it’s about time he won something. He’s got unbelievable ability, he’s gone to Germany and done fabulously well there as well.

Paddy Power

I’ll take a flyer on Kai Havertz for the Golden Boot. If Germany do as well as I think they might he should play a big part. He’s got to be worth a go each way and you’ll get a free bet every time he has a Shot On Target!

Andrew Beasley

Harry Kane is Kylian Mbappe’s only realistic competition here, not least because he got the most goals of any player in Europe’s big five leagues this season and takes the crazy number of penalties which England mysteriously get.

PP Trader

Michael Gregoritsch has 30 goals in 70 for his country and is coming into his prime. He could be worth backing each-way as I think Austria may go far.

Kenny Miller

Harry Kane will win the Golden Boot at EURO 2024. It will be out of Kane, Mbappe, Lukaku and Ronaldo, but I think Kane will edge it with his goals in the group stage.

Peter Crouch

For a cheeky outside bet I think Niclas Fullkrug might get a few. It’s a long shot but if Germany go far he’ll get a few so might be worth a quid each way.

Phil Thompson

Kylian Mbappe might double up. We’re talking about UEFA here and they’re not going to go for somebody who plays really well through all the games and loses. They love the big names and I think they will be swayed by France winning.

Mark Lawrenson

Jude Bellingham. He must be on an unbelievable high at the moment, he’s had a fabulous season and he’s made it look so easy. He’s still only 20 and he’s a man mountain.

Paddy Power

Toni Kroos could be set for the dream swansong in Germany this summer. If I’m right and they win he’ll get the gong – surely!

Andrew Beasley

If you agree that France will win Euro 2024, Kylian Mbappe would be a good option. Toni Kroos could be a value selection but it’s always gone to a player from the winning nation so it’s the former for me.

PP Trader

Kylian Mbappe is not just France’s superstar but their leader, too. The forward scored a hat-trick in the 2022 World Cup final and scored nine in qualifying for Euro 2024.

Kenny Miller

If France wins Kylian Mbappe will win this. He’s just got his move to Real Madrid, and I think he’ll still want to show the world the player he is.

Peter Crouch

Probably Kylian Mbappe, he’s just so talented but everyone seems to think that so I’ll go for an outside shout with Cristiano Ronaldo. Portugal have a great squad and we know how good he is.

Phil Thompson

England will do very well and I’m predicting them to get to the semis. If they do finish top and France do too they’ll meet there. It hurts to say but I think England will go out at the semi finals.

Mark Lawrenson

Don’t make me say it again! I think they’re going to win the whole thing.

Paddy Power

Everyone calm down it’s not coming home. England might get to the semi finals but there’s no way they beat France.

Andrew Beasley

If the English and French win their groups, as they are odds-on to do, then they will be on track to meet in the semi-finals. I think that will be the end of the road for England.

PP Trader

England have a reasonable path and they are fancied to go deep. If they do reach that stage, England to be eliminated in the semi-finals at the hands of France would be worth backing.

Peter Crouch

I’ve gone for France to win the whole thing and it looks like we could play them in the semi finals so I’ll say last four.

Phil Thompson

Steve Clarke has done a wonderful job, they’ve got togetherness in the group and they’ve got belief again. I fancy them to get out of the group but maybe not go any further so it’s a Last 16 exit.

Mark Lawrenson

They’ll be home after the third game unfortunately. They’ll be good fun and the punters will be great but I just don’t see it with Scotland. I’m not sure where their goals are going to come from.

Paddy Power

I fancy Scotland to get out of the group but whether it’s 2nd or 3rd it’s a nightmare with one of Belgium, Portugal, Italy, Spain or Croatia waiting. Last 16 would be a success!

Andrew Beasley

History is against them and so is their form. They have lost their last three games against Germany and last time out to Switzerland, too. Steve Clarke’s side look a good bet to finish fourth in their group.

PP Trader

With their weaknesses Scotland are rightfully favourites to finish bottom of this group. They struggle for goals and, with the quality of some of the defences they face, Scotland will probably exit early.

Kenny Miller

I think Scotland will make it out of their group at EURO 2024 and get to the knockout rounds.

Peter Crouch

Scotland would be buzzing to get out of the group but I think they’ll just fall short. There’s some solid teams in Group A so I’ll say a group-stage departure.
