The Christian Eriksen effect is massive in this one. You feel there’s a drive and a purpose to go for it.
I don’t think the Czech Republic would have beaten the Netherlands without the red card. However, in Patrik Schick, they have a goalscorer and he’s got four already at Euro 2020. He also bagged the goal of the tournament against Scotland.
It’s good that Denmark have a mix of goalscorers but Dolberg looked really impressive in their last game against Wales. He scored an absolute worldie and he looks as though he wants it that bit more.
When you’re a striker, if you’ve got your mind set, you’re a completely different player. We’ve seen the opposite with Harry Kane for England in this competition. Dolberg’s goal was brilliant, the way he bent it round the defenders and found the corner was superb.
This is two surprise packages meeting in the quarter-finals, especially Czech Republic, who are a very physical team. They run so much, fight together and the team spirit is great. Tactically, they’re very compact as well.
As for Denmark, it could be destiny after what happened to Christian Eriksen. It’s something that you can’t build, this could be the luck they need to go on and win the tournament.
I was a part of the Euros in 1992 when they won and they were a big surprise then. They weren’t even invited at the beginning! They came in and won the competition because they were free minded. It was something far away from football.
All the messages and the signs point towards Denmark so for me, they’ve got that extra spirit.

I fancy Denmark as they’re hungry and they’ve got belief. I’m going Denmark to Win to Nil and Kasper Dolberg to Score Anytime.
