I’m not expecting a big win for England here but I do expect them to keep a clean sheet, especially now we’ve seen how Gareth Southgate has set up the side against both Croatia and Scotland.
It was frustrating watching them against Scotland last Friday night as I wanted them to go and win. That means taking off Declan Rice or Kalvin Phillips but he left both of them on for too long. Leaving both of them on showed Southgate was happy with a draw and that’s really disappointing. There’s no way England should be happy with drawing against Scotland.

Southgate has got to show the nation we want this and we need to beat Czech Republic on Tuesday night. Their result against Scotland, where Czech Republic won 2-0, was a bonus for them but England should win this – and I think they’ll keep a clean sheet too.
With all the pressure on England, I fancy them to step up when it matters. England have to win to top the group. I’m going with England to Win 2-0 and Harry Kane to Score Anytime. Like England, Kane is under a lot of pressure and he needs to put in a big performance.
I’m going to defend Kane though as he must have been so confused on the pitch against Scotland. For all his movement, the ball isn’t coming. Southgate started Reece James and Luke Shaw but the ball still didn’t come into the middle at all.
He then stops making those runs and he’s not getting enough touches. He then comes too deep to get a touch of the ball which is too negative. I know he does that for Tottenham but he doesn’t need to do it for England.
I fancy him to come alive against Czech Republic on Tuesday.
If I was Kane in that dressing room, I’d be telling the lads in midfield and out wide, to get the ball in the box earlier. The ball must come forward. He’s getting criticised but he’s not getting any service so you can’t pin all the blame on him.
