Twitter tipping sensation Andy Robson has thrown up some more insights ahead of Belgium v Russia at Euro 2020 at 8pm on Saturday. Belgium are one of the favourites to win the tournament and Roberto Martinez’s men will be keen to get off to a good start.

Dmitri Barinov to be Carded

Mateu Lahoz is the man in the middle and he loves a card! He averaged 4.61 yellows over the entire La Liga season and with plenty on the line in this game, I can see him dishing a few cautions out. If Dmitri Barinov starts, he looks a great bet for a booking.

He commits an average of 2.5 fouls per game and gets cards pretty much every other match. Barinov is a holding midfielder and although Kevin De Bruyne won’t be charging at him, Belgium still have plenty of tricky players to draw fouls from the clumsy Russian.

Belgium to Win

The number 1 ranked side in world football will be too strong, even without their captain. 19 wins, three draws and a single loss since the start of 2019 shows you just how strong Roberto Martinez’s team are. These sides met twice in the Euro Qualifiers with Belgium winning both 4-1 and 3-1.

Romelu Lukaku to Have Two or More Shots on Target

Romelu Lukaku was voted the best player in Serie A this season and will be fighting for the top scorer award this summer. He averaged 2.36 shots on target over the cheat sheet data and will be the main man up front for Belgium in this game. He already has 60 international goals and with De Bruyne out, will have to take even more on his shoulders to provide goals.

Over 1.5 Goals

The two meetings between Russia and Belgium in Euro 2020 Qualifiers produced a total of nine goals and I can see this being another free scoring match. Over 1.5 Goals has landed in 29 of Belgium’s last 30 matches and in 12 of Russia’s last 13 Nations League/Tournament Qualifying matches.
