Aston Villa are in action on Tuesday evening as the Champions League last 16 gets underway and Unai Emery’s team travel to Belgium to take on Club Brugge.

This is probably as good a draw as Villa could have got at this point in the competition. Club Brugge have done fantastically to get through to this stage, they are currently second in the Belgian league, nine points behind the leaders Genk.
Villa come into this game on the back of that FA Cup win over Cardiff City, but they’ve had some mixed results overall, and the January transfer window has been kind to them with the players who have come in and performed so far.
I can see an away win here, and Villa to comfortably get through to the quarter finals over the two legs.
As for player picks. I’m backing Morgan Rogers to have two or more shots in the game, as he’s becoming a really pivotal player in this Villa team.
I’m also going for him to score, as he’s involved in everything Villa do going forward. For Brugge, I’m looking at the goalkeeper Simon Mignolet – who plenty of Premier League fans will remember – and it should be a busy night for him, so I will add in two or more saves for the Brugge keeper.
