Lyon lost in last year’s Champions League final against Barcelona and they’re desperate for redemption this season.
The French side won 2-0 in the first leg in Germany last week and it’s hard to see them not winning once again on Wednesday night.
Lyon have won every game in the Champions League this season while scoring 21 times and conceding just once. They’re also currently on a seven-game winning run.
Instead of backing Lyon to win, there’s value in looking at the handicap markets and we’re siding with -1 (Lyon must win by one or more goals) as they should have far too much quality for Bayern.
The selection has landed in Lyon’s last eight wins in all competitions and considering Joe Montemurro’s side have scored 15 times in their last two home games, we’re expecting a similar dominant display.
Melchie Dumornay to score
Melchie Dumornay is Lyon’s top scorer this season and she’s netted 16 times in 16 games.
The 21-year-old is looking to score in her sixth consecutive game in all competitions and she’s netted 14 times in her last 14 games.
Dumornay is shoot on sight and she’s had 20 shots in her last five games in all competitions, with 11 of those going on target.
She’ll be fresh after coming off the bench for just 17 minutes on the weekend so backing Dumornay to score makes plenty of sense.

Arsenal must overturn a 2-0 deficit against Real Madrid if they are to book their place in the Champions League semi-finals.
The Gunners were the better team last week and had 13 shots compared to Real Madrid’s five, however, the Spanish side took their chances.
The pitch was in a horrible state last week and Arsenal will fancy their chances of dominating at the Emirates on a better surface.
Renee Slegers’ side hammered Liverpool 4-0 in the Women’s Super League on Saturday and we like the look of Arsenal to win and over 2.5 goals.
The Gunners have scored 13 goals in their last four home games in all competitions and at some point Arsenal will need to throw bodies forward. That’ll lead to an open game and goals!
Arsenal to win both halves
Slegers will demand a fast start from her side in front of a home crowd at the Emirates on Wednesday night.
If Arsenal can score in the first half, all the pressure will begin to shift and Real Madrid will begin to sink deeper to try and protect their lead.
Arsenal to win both halves is a decent price considering the Gunners need at least two goals to level the tie or three if they are to book their place in the semi-finals.
The Gunners won both halves against Liverpool at the weekend and it’s been a winner in two of their previous four wins prior to Saturday’s game.
