Bournemouth v Brentford Tips: Andrew Beasley’s best bets for Saturday’s 5:30pm kickoff

Andrew Beasley has scoured the markets in search for the very best value at the Vitality.

The Saturday evening Premier League football takes us to the Vitality Stadium for a battle of the Bs between Bournemouth and Brentford. Presumably, the winner will play Brighton for the crown.

Of the two clubs, it’s only really the home side who have anything on the line. Andoni Iraola’s side have a sniff of a top six finish, whereas the reality for Brentford is that they’re 12th and won’t finish far either side of that.

But does that give them the freedom to play without fear? Let’s get into it with Andrew Beasley‘s five best bets for Bournemouth v Brentford.

Andrew’s player pick is also covered by Paddy’s Super Sub offer, which means that if a player is substituted, the pick carries over to his replacement.

Bournemouth to win

The Bees won the reverse fixture 3-2 in November, twice coming from behind to claim the three points. They also have three wins and two draws from the five clashes in the Premier League.

However, that previous victory over the Cherries was one of only two they have enjoyed against sides who start this weekend in the top half of the league table. From their six away games against these clubs, Brentford have taken a solitary point, thanks to a goalless draw at Brighton in which the home side had 24 shots.

They’re facing a side which usually dominates at home. With Bournemouth carrying the greater motivation, they should be able to secure their first ever top flight win in this fixture.

Yoane Wissa to score

Despite that 0-0 draw at the Amex being one of their better away results against a top side, Brentford usually score on the road. They’ve netted at least twice in their last four meetings with Bournemouth too.

Yoane Wissa, who bagged a brace in the reverse fixture, is the man to watch in the goal scorer markets. He has scored four times in his last nine league matches, albeit mostly against poor sides like Southampton and Manchester City.

Wissa has also amassed more expected goals across his last 10 Premier League games than any other player in their respective matches. He’s getting decent chances, so he should be an Anytime Goalscorer in this game.

Bournemouth to have most corners -2

You simply must have a bet on corners in this fixture.

Aside from Tottenham, these are the top two teams in the 2024/25 Premier League for total corners, with both averaging over 11 per game. There were 26 across their two top flight meetings at the Vitality Stadium.

By all means have a flutter on a high total in the Corner Over/Under Market (Over 11.5, for instance). But we can bet similar odds with a handicap selection that looks safer.

The reason these teams see so many corners in their games differ – Bournemouth have a lot themselves while Brentford concede them.

Although their averages are similar, the Cherries have had at least three corners more than their opponents on 14 occasions, once more than the Bees have lost the count by that margin.

With the handicap line set at -2 in the Corners Handicap market, Bournemouth should easily cover that.

Over 4.5 cards

These clubs are at opposite ends of the Premier League cards standings, with the Cherries’ matches averaging 5.0 for the second most while Brentford’s 3.4 puts them second bottom.

This match will likely be closer to the former figure thanks to Craig Pawson taking charge. He has issued an above average number of cards over the last four seasons, with half of his games in 2024/25 seeing at least five cards.

That includes Bournemouth’s recent home game with Nottingham Forest, and the reverse of this fixture saw six. Over 4.5 Cards seem to be a very plausible outcome.

#WhatOddsPaddy – Bournemouth to Win, Bournemouth Most Shots On Target & Bournemouth Most Corners

Our final selection comes from the ‘#WhatOddsPaddy – Featured’ section. It covers two of the wagers we’ve already discussed and adds a third, in the form of ‘Bournemouth to Win, Bournemouth Most Shots On Target & Bournemouth Most Corners.’

Based on this season’s stats, the estimated score for shots on target in this match is 8-4 to the Cherries, which gives our bet a little wiggle room.

But Bournemouth have also had more efforts on target than their opponents in 15 league matches this term, the joint-most of any club not part of the Premier League’s established big six. With only the bottom three sides losing the shots on target count more times than Brentford, that part of our final bet looks as safe as the other two.
